Hari Krishna Exports has never seen Corporate Social Responsibility as a separate thing in business. We believe no business can ever be successful if the community around it fails.
At HK, our commitment towards the welfare of our society is ingrained in our core values. Giving back to the community is equally as important as our diamonds. For us, CSR is a daily routine.
The entire HK family takes pride in being socially responsible for initiating such practices, undertaking events, and drafting policies aimed to support a better life for all of us.
We strongly believe that if one individual starts giving patronage to only one person in its neighborhood, then that’s enough to change the world where the distinct concept of social responsibility would not exist. That’s what makes CSR – the good samaritan for HK.
Being a Good Samaritan is not just about giving, but giving with affection and respect. Our motto “diamond with a heart” means a lot to us. It shows that we do things wholeheartedly and with the noble intention of making a difference.
Dhanji Dholakia, father of the pioneers of the Hari Krishna Exports, was a large-hearted and far-sighted man. Throughout his life, he steadfastly contributed 10% of his modest income to a temple fund for the needy. This was a huge inspiration for his sons, the Dholakia brothers who went on to establish Hari Krishna Exports with the same morals and values.
Hari Krishna Exports build is built on strong foundations of kindness and benevolence. We believe– To Give and Rejoice in the Giving.
Since the very beginning, principles of corporate social responsibility were textured into the value system of HK, CSR now has become an everyday routine or rather a way of life at HK.
The Hari Krishna Charitable Trust and Dholakia Foundation have been built into the model of management of HK to conduct formal corporate social responsibility activities. All the drives and campaigns we do through these charity arms benefit people at grassroots level.
The philosophy that drives all of our humanitarian endeavors is simple – One Only Gets What One Gives. That is much like the law of nature where you can taste the fruits, only if you have planted a seed.
