HK’s effort to promote social responsibility on general grounds for the greater good

We always believed being a Good Samaritan entails not just giving but also relishing the giving, and by initiating philanthropic activities, we go beyond the scope of any Corporate Social Responsibility requirement (CSR).

Things like this that have been instilled in the heart of HK by the founding father, Mr. Savji Dholakia, and his commitment towards humanitarianism and sheer commitment towards social welfare and development made us what we are today.

When we are not manufacturing diamonds, Hari Krishna Exports is busy organizing blood donation drives at least three times a year or something like the Swachh Bharat cycle ride to encourage fitness and eye check-up camps. With the support of total 11 million people donating blood through these drives, over 10108 units of blood have been stored until now.

Moreover, under the confluence of HK and Dholakia Foundation, various socially responsible activities reached fruitful outcomes. 

Completing six years in running, we have made a difference in the lives of 19575 children with our education initiative. Our empowerment program for women has aided 200 women to date and is providing equal opportunities, ensuring continuous advancement, and the numbers will keep increasing in the future. 

On community welfare grounds, we have been increasing people’s living standards and knowledge in society.

Under our sustainable development and environmental conservation mission, our actions to restore resources and promote greener earth initiatives are always in the running phase. Talking about it briefly, we began a water conservation project in the year 2017 called “Mission 100 Sarovar,” dedicated to giving adequate water to the land and clean drinking water to the people so that there would be no more water shortages in coming generations. With the successful creation of 75 lakes out of 100, the mission as of now is in its fourth phase. 

Similarly, in the initiative to restore the green belts, we have planted 2155737 trees so far, and we have no plans of stopping anytime soon.

This restoration of greener land initiatives has also aided people around the state of Gujarat to earn a daily livelihood and stable income and is witnessing a natural increase in the number of birds and fauna in general.

Thus, with all our initiatives, our core focus is to raise awareness and a sense of responsibility among people, as we as humans are a byproduct of nature itself, and we have to give back what we take. We call this nature ‘mother nature’ for this very reason.
